I have four books you may be interested in (princesses and queen's). They are in Henry VIII's time. The age for reading the books are 12 and up. I have read them as well and they are appropriate for teenagers. You can do a search at Amazon.com or wherever you want to see if it's something you'd want. Here is the title/Authors.
Beware,Princess Elizabeth By: Carolyn Meyer
Mary, Bloody Mary By: Carolyn Meyer
Doomed Queen Anne By: Carolyn Meyer
Nine days a Queen By: Ann Rinaldi

Princess

One of my favorite books of all time:

Ella Enchanted - Gail Carson Levine

I'm not sure Ella is actually a princess, but it's a twist on the Cinderella story and is absolutely wonderful. Just don't watch the movie. I've never watched it because I heard they COMPLETELY changed the story, and it's nowhere near as good, so I refuse to see it. Seriously, I can't recommend this book enough.
