APO,AE address overseas trade

Help I don't want to do an overseas trade for several reasons, can't use delivery confirmation, takes along time to receive, cost is super expensive, have to fill out special form for over a pound, book is not light...please advise if anyone has done this or how to get out of this..I would have cancelled had I known where it was to go...

I received one of those, no big deal

A trade a while ago (a game) seemed to take forever to arrive. I finally realized the address was APO AE. It took about a month, but worked fine in the end. My sense of the experience was that APO AE is nicely integrated in USPS's network. I can't comment on the expense or any forms though. My game was less than a pound.

APO

Having had a brother in the military, I can tell you that APO, AE, since they are going to a United States militaray base are considered a US postal address.

You can try contacting swaptree, but I don't know how much help you'll get. My suggestion is that before you hit accept, click on the username of the person you will have to send your item to and see if you can get an address or any other info about where they live from their profile.

Also, check their rating comments and see if anyone comments about taking a long time to get an item because it came from an APO.

You just have to do a little research before you hit that accept button!

Hope this helps.

Yes, well live and learn..the book I sent weighed over a pound so we sent it in a priority envelope and you can't use delivery confirmation. The postmaster said it would get there in a week...we shall see. I appreciate you answering my questions though. It's been awhile since I have sent a package to Iraq.
